Advice About Scanning Slides Please - 01-02-2006, 01:59 PM

I have a few (35) slides I used to use in teaching a basic photography course. I am now going to teach a basic crime scene photography course and I think these slides would be useful (much of the information overlaps) but I really want to get them scanned into a digital format. Anyone have experience with a lab in Dallas (or northern suburbs) that doesn't charge an arm and a leg?

Thanks for your help.

Old Sarge -

Is your crime scene course open to the public? I have always been interested in taking a class in this area.

As for the slides, maybe someone on this forum could scan them in for you for nothing. I have an inexpensive 1800dpi scanner, but I'm sure someone else here has a better one. 35 slides aren't that many.

I haven't taught a crime scene class in over ten years, may be closer to fifteen. This one is for the local P.D. and not open to the public but it may not be the last one I teach if it goes well. In fact, I expect to be learning from this class about what I should add. If I do one open to the public I'll be sure and let you know.
