Just to clarify, second shooters are usually for additional shots or backups and normally is a paid position(you plan on using their images), tag-alongs are usually for that person's experience and as such are not paid(you do not plan on using their images). Of course it has been a month of mondays for me so I may just be confused :-)

I do plan on using the person's images if my own don't satisfy all the angles and such that I need. I am from Houston so my normal assistant and seconds won't be coming with me. But yes - it is unpaid. A great fit for someone whos got experience in other areas but is looking to get into weddings.

Just another reminder. A tag along is never NEEDED. It's an unpaid person that tags along for the experience and may or may not get any shots, also, they may or may not get anything useable. If you NEED someone, then that person is a paid second shooter. A second shooter is someone you have as a backup. I've seen you post a number of times about NEEDING a tag along and yet not paying that person.

Whether or not things were worded correctly, this is actually my first wedding not shooing with a paid second shooter. Next time I will be sure to post "looking for - but don't actually NEED" a tag along.
