Comments and Criticism are welcome.

Based on inspiration from someone here, I decided to do a photo of the week project this year. (I knew I couldn't keep up with a photo of the day, but it seems like I should at least make the effort once a month.)

Here were my favorites from a session at Bethany Lakes Park (Allen, TX at the cross roads of Bethany and Allen heights).

1.

2.

3.

4.

I ended up selecting #4 as the photo for Week 1, 2006.

(If you want to see all the proofs, there are here:

I hope you enjoyed,

Alan

P.S. For those that care, all were taken with a 70-200 2.8L IS on a 20D.

Alan, while I do like #4 the best picture to me is #1. I love the drab leaves and somewhat muted greens with that yellow flower just popping out. It's the picture that I just sit and stare at. Good job.

John,
Thanks. That is also my daughter's favorite. I think it shows that I typically take a lot more flower photos than I do animals. (To be honest, that is probably why I selected #4. I know there will be a lot of flower photos over this next year.)

lots of contrast in picture #1 ... life flora vs dead ... colorful vs drab ... very nice!
