I had a great time today just shooting for fun. I don't care what everybody said about Pete, he is a great guy to shoot with.
After the zoo we went around down town Fort Worth and shot random stuff. Here is one I liked.
Here are some more, including some cute cub pics and more of Pete

Great shots Pete and Jake! The shots of the cubs are truly enhanced by the mother's emotions (I hear she's getting quite fed up with them ganging up on her). It also helps that the shots are exposed, composed and processed so well.

There was no tape Joe... That was just the "green with envy" reflection from some passer-by's with shorter lenses!
Nah, it was nothing, probably just used to identify between two that a company had. For a used lens, it is super clean! To be honest, I noticed it when I first opened the case, but then got carried away staring at that big 'ole front element and everything went kinda dreamy....

@ Pete,
Looks like you're putting that 400mm to good use. Those are REALLY close.
@ Jake,
I looked at your PBASE stuff and really like the reflection of the briefcase guy in the window shot through his foot. I would have tried to angle it so as to cut out the trees in the background (they're a little distracting). It would be worth a try retaking it, just to make it compositionally stronger.
For whatever reason, I like the caution sign pic. I would like to see it processed with my Urban Acid action. the colors would be pretty cool.
All in all, you guys looked like you had a great time. Jake's street photos have given me a few ideas, which is always nice too! (I promise, no stealing)

You are right on about the briefcase reflection shot. Time to go back That was actually Pete's idea, but he just had the 10-20mm with him at the time.
Funny you should say that about the caution sign, I did do the Urban Acid on it, but I only did about 40% opacity on that layer, and cut out the red part on that layer to. I tried a few different things to it and I will probably do a few more to. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
