How Many Would Like A Photoshop Workshop?? - 01-09-2006, 10:02 PM

Hello All,

I have heard a few folks say that they would like to learn some photoshop so they can make their photos look better. My questions are - 1. how many might be interested and 2. what would you like to learn?

I would love it, and specifically, working with layers!
Like making something Color and the rest of the picture Black and white!

But the more I know the better!

Hmm, where do I start? Adjusment layers, masking, color correcting. Oh! sharpening, I know how to do it but have a hard time judging how much to apply.

Good Morning Paul,

I would like to see a class covering digital workflow, color correction, resizing, portrait retouching, layers, masks, actions, scripts etc.

Along with some type of "gathering" or "meeting" of interested photographers that would get together on a regular basis, to share tips and techniques. Every one attending would bring a tip, technique or tutorial on photoshop and share with the group.

Also the abillity to bring a specific photograph of theirs with an idea, and the group pitiching in to acheive the idea.

Just a thought................I'm rambling..........

Jeff

Hey I'm not a "know all" PS guy by any means, but I feel confident I could speak to any of the mentioned topics. Would love to help and do have quite a bit of experience teaching (other stuff).

I would like such a program. I have used it for several years but have never really gotten too far beyond the basics. I'm really just sinking my teeth into layers/filters and I'd like to develop a consistent method to process some of my pictures and add borders, other effects, etc. Let us know. And thanks in advance.

We are putting on the Whizbang photoshop class in a month or two. i can get the exact date thurs, but its going to be at the Crown Plaza hotel and we are going to teach elements but for all intensive purposes if you have cs or cs2 youd still get a lot out of it. Its being taught by the photoshop pros.

ill post up more details later.
