Question Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo - 01-13-2006, 06:27 PM

Hello,

I have never been to a rodeo before. I would surely appreciate your suggestion on good photography events and any tips you may have for such events.

Thanks,
Aarti

Having grown up in Texas, I have been to many many many rodeos, big and small. I would suggest just spending the day looking and snapping pictures of what catches your eye.

You will have a great time I am sure!!!

You can go to the stock show and attend the rodeo or not. seperate tickets. Plenty to shoot at the stock show, and plenty of challenge to shoot the rodeo if you decide to go for the action.

stay around after dark and shoot the carnival and the rides.

loads of fun, we did it last year.

My wife and I will be there Monday afternoon (at the rodeo that is). Definately bringing the camera along. I figure the 70-200mm would be the lens to use. Any suggestions on what settings to use?
