Well, I got inspired by your shot Joe, so I saw the storm coming in and I hauled but out to a spot and got these... I got absolutely drenched getting these, but I had a lot of fun too!

Wil, Todd - great, great stuff! It's a rush seeing these types of shots!

To me, one of the traits that makes a good lightning shot is scale and in Wil's 3rd shot and Todd's 1st one give you a sense of how large those bolts were and it comes off as truly dramatic. I know how hard it can be to find a spot like that much less deal with the wind, rain and impending doom thing.

If anyone else has some shots, throw them up. I've got a few more to throw at you as soon as I can get to them.

Here's one shot that ended up OK. I left the bolt much more blown out than I usually do as I think it lends to it's power. You'd have to take the photo down at least 2 stops to see the bolt detail which is fairly incredible.
