Some additional images from the Stock Show this year.
When we walked up, this young man was trying to get his cowboy hat back from his pig. He showed me the damage the pig inflicted.

That kid dressed up like the llama is priceless (the guitar is a nice touch).
Great Fair photos, some of the best I've seen. The last one is complete with the people in the foreground, great image!!

Thank you Nancy and Joe.
I got a strange green cast in the two kid's pictures. I think it was the sodium lighting in the swine building coupled with the radiant heaters in the ceiling. The rest of the colors are about right.

Very nice shots Jerry. I love that last one.
I wanted to go out there Saturday but then decided to stay home and cough up a lung instead. | | | |

Good shots Jerry... the llama in #4 is a very natty dresser! I always enjoy pictures of kids doing something other than sitting in front of a TV or computer game... thanks for sharing.
What were your settings for the night shots of the lights?

Thanks all, I appreciate your nice comments.
Steve, for the after dark shots, I usually shoot at F4 and dial the shutter speed for the scene until my camera reports 0EV. It's usually 1 to 2 seconds depending on the light. If I want more blur, such as for a moving ride, I'll go to F8, which lenghtens the shutter speed requirement by a second or so. Tripod and remote release.

Jerry, I hope you don't mind if I throw a few in here. I figured it's all the same show and you have a great start! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
