What kind of shoot?
Prairie Creek fall can be a good location for families & general outdoor portraits.

Yes- that is the only location I know of.

Is there anything rustic, like downtown atmosphere?

THANKS

rustic and downtown? not sure i follow that combination. I did some engagement pics at a park (not sure of name) at Belt Line at Winnwood. Gazebo, trails, lake with deck.

When I lived in N. Texas, I used to walk the trails at Spring Creek Natural Area, and there are some scenic places in that park. It can be accessed from a very small parking lot alongside the North Access Road of Hwy 75 @ Renner, or by parking along Braeburn Dr. at Foxboro Park (just south of Renner on the east side of Plano Rd.)

It's near the intersection of E. Renner Rd. & N. Plano Rd.

I can't think of downtown in Richardson but Plano has some decent stuff just a little bit North.

Hit the alleys in Richardson. DT Richardson is not so new, the brick is good. And grab a burger and homemade root beer at Del's Charcoal Burger, been around since 1957 and is at 110 S. McKinney.

Really there isn't a whole lot in Richardson that is that scenic, you do have a bit of downtown (Beltline east of Hwy 75) that runs a couple blocks, don't know if the old feed store is there or not (grew up in the area many many moons ago), DART messed up the old RxR tracks area with their line but that's progress. You could maybe go to Spring Creek farm- check their photo policy-they make Owens Country Sausage that is north of the city a bit but for the effort I would head into Dallas or Plano or even McKinney- Richardson is pretty modern. Now there is some interesting Modern Architecture in the city but most of that is on private land- see they did a lot of construction in the late 50's and the Modern Look was incorporated into those building designs.

No real major park that would draw you to pick it other than the one mentioned above.
