Great shot Ken! I have logged hours in that particular plane! I was a Flight Enginner with VMGR-234 when they were know as the Bears up in Chicago. Funny thing about co-pilots, they never seem to be looking where they should though....

I deployed on C-130's when I was in the Air Force... not a luxurious ride, but it got us where we needed to go. Actually a cargo net makes a pretty good bed if you're tired enough (as we all were when returning from a TDY).

I wasn't the only one there at the time. . . I wasn't looking so maybe someone else was waving. . . it's cool when they do that.

Thanks Jerry. Yeah the C5 left there yesterday afternoon. It is huge. And when it flies it looks like it is hardly moving.

Here's one from 2/8, it's the Raiders of VMGR-352 out of Miramar. New J-Model variant, new paint scheme. I still like the old white/gray better but that's just because those were what I came up in. Of course this was the day I happened by in my car instead of truck so getting above the fence wasn't happening.... Got this through the chain link, not great, but what can you do?
