I'm heading out there Saturday and was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions on spots to hit for wildlife? I was told that that a bald eagle has been spotted along the river.

I've only been there once, and I didn't have much luck, but then it was July...

I called them today, which is where I was told that several photographers had spotted the bald eagle near the river. If no one here has any advice, my plan it to just check with the naturalist at the gate and see what they have to say and then hope for the best.

That's what I would do. I might not make it out there this weekend, but I will try for the next.

I woud go to the boardwalk and see if there is any activity.
You can go to the website and look at the map of the nature center to be familiar with the area.
Welcome

good luck I may have to go there myself for that eagle

Thanks Mike. The boardwalk was actually the first place we stopped and did have some pretty good luck. First think we saw was a deer crossing the river, very nice scene, then there was the red-shouldered hawk, then the american pelicans, and of course the song sparrow. But even with all that, it's hard to compete with the "cute factor" of the parire dogs. :)

I posted a few pictures on another thread <<here>>.
