Have you been to Farmer's Branch Historical Park (not sure exactly what it's called). It's kinda near the corner of Valley Ridge and I-35E, I think. Beautiful setting and all sorts of fun props (train car, old farm looking thing, little chapel, etc.). There used to be a fee, but I don't think there is any more.
Also some of the little neighborhood parks in Highland Park are really cute. I've used Flippen Park (at the corner of Versailles and Lomo Alto) a good few times and just shot in another one a week ago that had some great bridges. I have the name and location of that one at home, so just remind me and I'll get it to you.
The Canals are traditional (too many there for me to count), but you get great shots there. Great for when everything is dead and brown b/c there's no greenery there anyway.
I've heard there's a nice park somewhere behind the RadioShack head quarters in FW, but I haven't been there yet. (Again, I have more info on that one at home too.)
Oh and there's someplace along the River/Canal jogging trail that I've shot. It wasn't the best, but it was winter and rainy and yucky. Could be really cute, I think. It's near the botanical gardens, but like across the street.
Japanese Gardens in the Botanical Gardens are worth the fee and then some, but most clients won't pay it... :)
