Because of their lines and color, these two adjacent buildings are probably the most photographed "skyscrapers" in Fort Worth. Here, they tower over the Tarrant County Courthouse in a skyline perspective from the Northwest in Oakwood Cemetery.

My wife works in one of those. I thinks it's the one on the left from this view point. Been meaning to ask her how far it is to the building to be imploded. Probably not that good a view but you can see a good ways from up high there.

Good composition in this shot Bruce.

Lightbulb Speaking Of Implosions - 02-16-2006, 11:33 AM

Here's a downtown telephoto shot (300mm) from the hill on I-30 east near the Oakland Exit. The Landmark Tower to be imploded in March is the next largest building to the left of the Carter & Burgess Building.

If your wife has access to a southside office fairly high up, that vantage point could offer spectacular pictures of the event. Since it's on a Saturday, a humble photog would not upset the office routine. You might check it out.

For anyone reading this, desiring to know more about the big "implosion," read this thread:

Thumbs up Better Perspective - 02-16-2006, 11:46 AM

Actually, Roy, this wider view is better for determining implosion vantage points.

Note: photo posted is for documentation purposes only; not for aesthetic quality (it was real hazy yesterday).
