Canon meet up.

How about having a Canon get together sometime next month? We can share tips, tricks and ideas. Just bring your camera and stuff.
Somewhere between Dallas and Ft. Worth. If anyone has any ideas post them here.

The "everyone is welcome" gatherings are small enough, I don't see any reason to arbitrarily make it "Canon only."

I think the reason for making it a canon meet up is because of the event nature. We wanted to meet up to discuss and learn "how to" fill in the blank with canon equipment. I don't think its to exclude anyone, but only guide the event topic. Like Jake said everyone is welcome, but the GTG is to discuss canon equipment, tips, techniques, etc..

Need to find a place and set a time so people can plan on being there. I don't think the Academy parking lot will work........LOL. There's lot's of folks in the area from the forum I'd like to meet......even some of those other brand guys. hehe

I think it is a great idea. Its not to be exclusive but to share information on common equipment use and possible future use.

I have been fortunate to own every Canon DSLR except the D30, D60, and 300D so I would be glad to share what I have experienced with that equipment including various lenses along the way.

I wouldn't mind if the Nikonians wanted to attend and share their experience with their equipment as well. Maybe if we both knew a little more about our given choice in equipment there would be fewer obstacles to communication.

Vacation time is March 11 thru 19 for me and my wife. Anytime before or after that would be great for me or if the timing works maybe I could make it during that week.

I don't know a lot about restaurants and meeting rooms centrally located but I know Colter's BBQ used to have meeting rooms where you could shut the door and actually hear what was being said. I know some better BBQ places but they don't have meeting rooms.

We got a few for sure's and some maybe's. I'm already starting to drewl over some of the equipment I might get to see.

Weekend is better for me since I work late and traffic is a bear to travel in.
