Don't know about Dallas, but my kids have taken classes at Tarrant County College and seemed to enjoy it. There are currently 4 campuses with a 5th one coming (Downtown Fort Worth) in the next few years. The photography curriculum appears to be pretty good.

Good luck!

Why don't you check out Mountain View and Cedar Valley. They are not too far from where you live.

Collin County Community College in Plano is by far the best choice in the DFW area. Their labs are twice that of most Universities and the staff is wonderful. Many of the staff members are working professionals and the school itself is top notch.

I think there is an Art Institute in the Dallas area and they may offer photography classes if I remember correctly...Good luck on your choice and like I told my son, "Do the best you can do and then try a little harder". Worked for him all his school life...A's & B's, Made the Dean's list and was in the Phi Theta Cappa, which is a National Honor Society for two year colleges. He went to Texas State Tech College and has an Assoc Degree in Computer Science but now his life is in the Air Force. He is truely "Seeing the World".

The Art Institute in Dallas does not offer photography like the Houston one does. Also, Collin County Community College definitely has great facilities for photography. Brookhaven supposedly has some good photography courses, as well, but I know that Collin County just revamped their facilities.

Hey if you decide to go to Collin County, we could meet up and shoot some. I live near the campus.

i have taken a photography course at collin county (ccccd @ spring creek) and i do recommend it as well. their lab is pretty big and as far as i know, they took out the colour dark room and making it into another b&w lab. don't know too much about that.
i am going to Art Institute of Dallas next month for vid production (they dont have photography) but am hoping to go back to ccccd for another photo course.
