Yes, the goal of this is to generate a list of photographers that *are in* or *can travel* to the DFW area for second shooting opportunities, emergency backup, or whatever else.
Just a contact list so we all know who (or is it 'whom'?) we can call on when we need someone! :)

My fee for second shooter is $50.00 per hour. Also, I can shoot as Lead photographer and/or instructor for $75.00 per hours for those photographers who are very nervous about the Ceremony and Formal Alter Shots. I am very good about directing an audience and placing people on stage for the formal group shots. Meanwhile teaching the photographer about the whole process. I have offered my skills and knowledge to other photographer that had already signed a wedding contract and required may assistance during the ceremony and formal group shots. I would love to work as a 2nd or 3rd photographer at a wedding with someone who has both the artistic and business knowledge/experience. I will be glad to share the photo's for the learning experience, and hopefully the "Lead" would find some useful images from my photography and compensate me at a fair level for my time and efforts, all open to discussion. I don't have a website to illustrate specific examples of weddings I've shot, however, if interested to see some work, please PM me and I'll gladly make arrangements to show you.

I shoot mainly PJ and sports, but love doing portraiture photography as well, in fact I don't know an aspect of photography that I dislike !

Never worked a wedding, though it interests me. Looking for a cahnce to Assist and learn from observing. Will assist with any aspect, even carrying equipement. Wouldn't mind being a second or third shooter for the chance that a shot I take is from a good angle and would go well with the rest. not looking for $$ too much right now, mainly focusing on experience. I know basics of composition and camera settings. Low lighting at weddings, composition for weddings, and post editing are the areas I need to work on. Right now I have a Canon 35mm Rebel, but I am workng a side electrical job here and there to buy a 350D soon. E-mail me if interested and you have room for a little help.

Is the network you're describing in this thread, "this thread" ? Or is there a list/link of everybody in the network located someplace else ? Just curious in case I want to refer someone to it that might be looking for a photographer in some geographic location that I might not be.
