on where the best sunset/sunrise locations are in the north dallas area. i really want to catch a reflection off the new high rise building that only has partial windows on it (under construction) on the corner of 121 and the tollway. it would look really wicked since the building isnt finished. i will spin kick anyone who steals that idea by the way lol.

Not sure really. But if you go, let me know when. I'd like to see it too.

I ate lunch last Sunday at Blue Mesa and know the building you're talking about. It looks really cool with the stairstep pattern as they put the windows up. General rule of thumb says golden hours (30 minutes just before/after sunrise/set) are the best. The weather plays a big part in the colors you get (unless you want to use filters, like bastard orange or green). Check out Rolando Gomez's beach glamour stuff for some wicked colors. I think he shares the filters and gels that he uses.

you butthead!!!! I claimed it first lol! yeah that one. dont you think it would look cool with a sunrise off the partial glass? i also thought about taking a sunset picture through the unfinished part when the sun meets the horizon and gets really huge. i was thinkin about taking a progression of pictures as it went up but when i thought to do that it was already standing like this but w/o glass. oh well. but yeah thats it.

haha. i'm just playin. did you see how HUGE the sun was tonight on the horizon? it would have been the perfect opportunity but unfortunately i couldnt make it over there. the two of us need to meet up about 5:45 or so to pick our spot and around 6:10-6:20 the sun has been awesome!!!

It's a builder tradition.

Here's another one.

It is a "good luck" tree . . . lots of commercial builders have them.
