Went to Pate Museum of Transportation today.. - 03-23-2005, 10:50 PM

There is not much out there anymore, there are 3 planes, a chopper and a few other items out side. There are some nice cars inside.

I went out with Paul Valentine (Hogleg 44), I had my little E1 and he had this semi truck size camera, in fact I thought it was a car 2 or 3 times and almost took a pictures of it......

I really did have a very good time, I guess the cars are worth it to me, I really like seeing some of them, the only problem is there are some of them I had ...... so I guess that shows you I am getting old.....

Here is a small gallery, I was in a front end mode today.. as you will see.

Pate Museum - Outside - 03-24-2005, 12:39 AM

Bill, I don't want to hijack your thread; I hope you don't mind, but when I went out there last Saturday, I never went inside to see the cars but took pictures instead of outside. A couple here might therefore complement your's:

Sony F717 1/640s f/5.0 at 17.4mm iso100

Sony F717 1/800s f/4.5 at 24.1mm iso100

The rest of mine from outside are at: http://www.pbase.com/brucemburton/pate_museum

I guess I am going have to learn about this hijack thing. I don't think anyone hijacks anything. If you had taken a shot if the same cars and posted them, I think that would be great. If I only have my shots to look at how do I know I can do better...... (Off the soapbox)

Bruce, you should have gone in, there are some really nice cars inside, they are not as good as some I have seen but they are very nice, and most of them are from around Texas.

I really like the blue CADILLAC, that was one really neat car.
