Thursday: DFW Happy Hour

Folks the week will be just wrapping up and of course we all need that break to get us through Friday. What better than to spend time talking about our favorite topics with friends, peers, business partners or new acquaintences. To ensure us "shy" types break out of our shell I propose a few drinks to "break" the ice. Here's what I propose:

Date: Thursday March 9th

Time: 5:30 - 11:00; this is how it worked last time... I showed up at 5:45 and drank by myself until 6:20 when the rest of the group showed up... a few stayed for an hour or so and others until they kicked us out... the time is not set in stone... I will get there around 5:30 - 45, but won't leave until late. Come when you can and enjoy some great company

Why don't you just change the name to D-Get-Together? None of the options listed are even remotely close to being in the middle where everyone would have a chance to come, or at least everyone of us in FW...

True, it is far from Ft Worth... but all of them are 30 minutes from me as well... I will add one more option to the list :)

Well, all of them are about 90+ minutes from us at 5:00ish....

Grapevine is probably about the same amount of pain for everyone...

lately these have been happening once a week... it started in North D.. which is why most of the options were over there... I am sure we could alternate close locations per week or bi week if enough are interested

I live near 35W and 820. This isn't just for me, heck I probably won't even make it anyway this week so it's probably moot, but I know a lot of folks here would like to meet others and a middle ground point would certainly make that easier.

We tried to arrange a gear exchange a month or so ago over here and what we heard was that it was too far to drive from Dallas to over here. And that was with about two weeks notice!

If you guys in N Dallas can make it happen every week or so, more power to ya!

well, i have to see if my mom would babysit. i would love to go. any of those are fine, but im thinking sherlocks. blue goose closes too early..lol!! the only problem i have with grapevine is that i can barely get there sober. don't know my way around that area at all, so who knows where i'll end up after a couple of drinks. might end up in ft worth! but, it's up to you guys. i think it would be fun to do this weekly. i could use an adult only get together once a week!!

I'm right there with ya... once a week is cool with me... of course baring any traveling or extenuating circumstances...

it might end up being me at the bar alone lol... bah there is always someone at happy hour... sherlocks is pretty cool, plenty of drink selections

never been to sherlocks, but my husband goes there. it's near his work. im more of a knox henderson/greenville kinda gal. but, as long as the bar has an abundance, sounds good to me!
