Thursday night get together - 03-10-2006, 03:58 PM

ok here we go, I am going to try and get this started soon enough that we can get a good turn out. So where would the majority like to meet? I will put up a poll once I get an idea of what area we want to get together. but you all have to help me, I dont know the area very well, so if you have a suggestion, let me know and I will put it in the poll starting monday!

Thanks, lets try to have a good turn out, also this would be good for the people who cant get out to leslies b-day party.

The flying pig in Lewisville would be cool.

Lewisville works for me. I also see a number of restaurants going out on 114 east of the north entrance to DFW Airport. There's also a restaurant row just west of the airport on 114. Those would be fine, too.

Last night, at the Thursday happy hour at Firewater, we talked until midnight. So, if you cannot get to wherever until after the rush hour, no problem. It was mostly a high level photographic discussion involving things like lighting angles of certain scenes in From Dusk Til Dawn, issues of capturing highlights off lips in portrait work. But other stuff was discussed besides Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie, I think.

For all who do not know, Norm truly understands that digital means No Out OF Pocket Costs Like Film And Processing For Each Shoot. He is inspirational for those of us, OK, like me, who are saving up our electrons as if pixels were going to be taxed. If it moves, he shoots it. If it does not move, he shoots it twice. A pretty impressive bunch of shots on his laptop. Of course, his camera is always with him. Of course. Why not?

So, we have one and one. We need to set up a poll, someone who knows how to do that, then it will be fair for all and the one with the most votes is where it's held, be it Ft. Worth or Dallas or wherever.

Actually, some of us did meet one time off of 114. I don't mind 114 so much. I think I remember how to get home from there! I will say, if we do Ft. Worth, I need to hook a ride with someone cuz I do not know my way around and I don't want to be driving home by myself, late at night, in an area I don't know, especially after having some drinks.

Oh, I think we also discussed Johnny Depp, Vin Diesel and Armand Asante.

Be sure if you vote, especially if it's for other, that you post something to say where so we know if it is Lewisville, Arlington, Grapevine, or someplace else.

I would like to meet you folks...

How about Flower Mound. Ana Mias has some very good Mexican Food. Cristina is decent with more space -- the one by 1171 and Shiloh

My inlaws alpaca ranch is on Shiloh. FM is fine for me too but what about Z bar. I'm not like all the lucky people that get to eat mexican food. Dern stomach problems.
