Last year about this time I was working on doing B&W conversions. I found an old barn that I really liked and did a bunch of shot of it.
They came out well I think and I had some blown up to 16x20 and framed, they came out really nice.

Well I was by there the other day to do some more shots with the E1, the last time I used the E-10 and its gone, just a big pile of junk ready to burn, they are getting ready to build houses on the land, it is kind of sad to see it go. I know time has to move on but it was a neat old barn and for me some good photo ops.

Here is the gallery

and some of my picks.....

Olympus E-10
1/100s f/5.6 at 11.0mm iso80

Olympus E-10
1/60s f/5.0 at 12.0mm iso80

Olympus E-10
1/80s f/5.0 at 9.0mm iso80

This was my really high tech way of doing it.

Desaturate, adjust the contrast and that is it.

I have some different actions that I have been using but am not sure which ones I like.
I have been using this plugin and it is doing a really good job as of late.

bill, as good as your images are i think they could a litte more punch to them. i've done practically 0 in PS with b&w .
do you mind if i give it a try. these have such great tonal variatuon that i think theyed be fun to work with.
better yet could you post the color shots.

bill that would be great. i don't have anything in digital that would work very well in B&W. these are outstanding pix for me to work with, but i'd like to start at the beginning. upload them and post back here-i'll grab them and then you can delete. i'm on dsl, if you know what i mean.
