Carpool to White sands with me?

Any local Dallas people want to hitch a ride and split the gas to White Sands NM in a couple of weeks?

I plan on leaving after work on a Friday and drive all night and hopefully shot some in the morning.
If I don't make it in time for the morning light, I will just be sitting around waiting for the evening light. Next morning (Sunday) shoot the first light and then leave around 9 or 10 am and drive back.

I will also be shooting at night time as well. Planning on going April 14th. There will be a full moon so if you haven't been out before taking shots at night, I'll show you all I know about it.

I just got back from Death Valley and Yosemite.
Camped out for three days in the snow.
But I still got the photo bug and don't want to stop shooting.

I can take up to 3 people. I drive an Isuzu Tropper. Has a lot of room for photo and camping gear.

I usually go alone but thats getting real old. Would be nice to have some other photographers along with me.

That's Easter weekend, and I have a couple of paying gigs booked. Sounds like a darn good trip. How about something more into spring time or early summer ?

I am planning on doing as many weekend trips somewhere as I can this spring.
I'll post the next idea when the time gets closer.
Good to see a few are up for it.

Even if more than three want to go we can still all carpool and follow each other.

I also do a bit of storm chasing but there is not much notice on those if anyone wanted to go.

Hey Scott,

Since its hit or miss for some to have off that day and some don't, we will just say we are leaving Friday after work.
April 14th and comback the 16th on Sunday.

I cant do that weekend b/c of Crawford protest and Easter, but keep us posted on other stuff like that. Would be fun!

i'm definately interested in the fri - sun trip. will you have room for me is the bigger question - i shoot with large format gear... my gear tends to take up a chunck of trunk space!

Don't worry about space, I have an Isuzu Trooper and its use to having a lot of gear packed in it.
