Lightbulb The Neil P. at Burnett Park - 03-27-2006, 09:08 PM

Another building in downtown Fort Worth being converted to spaces for people who want to live right downtown.

One interesting architectural feature about this building is that because it sits on streets which are not perpendicular, the building's corner itself is rounded and actually greater than 90 degrees.

Bruce, I never noticed that was more than a 90 degree angle before. Is this the building that housed to Ridgeways reproduction facility or is that another block east? Nice shots too.

I was waiting for you to grab this one. I actually work for the architecture firm that is designing the new condos. All of the floors are being redone (only the lobby on the first) and a pool is being added on the second. If you look close, the windows at the apex of the corner are actually made of curved glass.

Roy - Yes Ridgeways Repro is on the first floor as well as 7th Street Grill.

TTU_Guy,

Thanks for the additional info re: The Neil P. I know you're getting married here soon. Does that mean you're moving to Fort Worth? We'd love to have you here.

Sure am, I'm from the Fort Worth area, just have been attending school at Texas Tech. I look forward to returning in May but will be working in Dallas. I do hope to live closer to Fort Worth though.

Roy, I do love adaptive reuse projects. There has been a large surge in the number of people wanting to move downtown recently. The firm is the same firm that did the former Bank One Tower (damaged by the tornado). Bburton, do you happen to live downtown (noting all of your photo locations)?
