Nikon Owners - How about a get together where we talk about our Nikon equipment and learn how to use certain features and technologies specific to Nikon cameras?!?

WHO:
Anyone who owns (or is interested in) a Nikon DSLR (D100, D1H/X, D50, D70(s), D200, D2H(s), D2X). Bring your equipment!

Topics on the table:
- Nikon Creative Lighting System (CLS) using SB-800, SB-600, SU-800, D70(s) & D200
- Nikon WT-2A wireless transmitter
- Nikon in-camera setups (going through menus and discussing optimal settings)
- Advantages of NEF files
- Shootout: Nikon Capture vs Photoshop for RAW processing
- NEW: Sensor cleaning and the tools needed to do it right
- NEW: Custom White Balance using a gray card

Other topics can be suggested. This is going to be an informal format where information is shared. Everyone talks, there is no "guest speaker" and there are no dumb questions (except maybe where you can buy your white lens (and yes, I know they exist)). You can arrive later than 6pm and leave earlier than 10pm.

If you're interested, please respond to this thread and I'll start a running list.

I don't know what we could teach you about yours Tom. I will be bringing my 7900 with the waterproof case so people can see what it's like so feel free to join us and give a review of yours.

And yes people, bring a chair, beach chair, patio chair, pillow, whatever.

Hey Joe, thanks for taking this on. I want to come too, but have to wait and see what happens at my plant in the next couple weeks. I maybe working a heck of a lot of OT in the next couple weeks and not have a weekend off for a while. Good for my company, bad for Steve.

It would be worth it just to meet up with some of you folks.
I promise not to spoil the Nikon fun. I've never been a brand snob anyways, as you can see from my Minolta, Olympus, NIkon, Canon, Mamiya, Kodak, collection. I usually work until 6, but might be able to arrange an earlier departure.
