Shoot, I don't know that there is a ladder strong enough to hold my big a$$ standing on the top. I'd also hate to fall holding that nice L glass.

Interesting. Did y'all share email addresses. If they spend that much time shooting jets they should have some great shots! What do they do for a living?

i can think of a lot of other thing i would travel the country to shoot and jets is not one of them. Nothing wrong if you like shooting jets but i just dont see it. I am getting tired thinking about it.

props for the ladder stand... I think i would out fit a truck with a deck or something instead of just a ladder.

Could you imagine standing on top of that ladder, handholding that bazooka of a lens and still hope to hold still long enough to get a clear shot. I'm impressed!

Well, the F16's usually fly in fairly small circles over the plant, or they do tough and go's, where they fly around and come back down to land, then take right off again. So as long as you've got some time, you should get a decent amount of opportunities to take pictures.

Always nice to see L glass in action even if it pegs my envy-o-meter. Reminds me of my favorite thread at fredmiranda.com.

I've never been out to the Lockheed facility or Carswell, but I'm at DFW a lot and we do the same thing, shooting passenger jets.

My shots are on www.airliners.net
and www.jetphotos.net

I go out to DFW sometimes for a change. . . would be nice if their was something else flying other than American MD-80's. . .which seem to make up 80% of what flies out of there. . .
