Nice shot, Keith!

I love that airplane... after leaving F-4 INS in 1980 I cross-trained into the Avionics Intermediate Shop (AIS) for the F-16... basically responsible for checkout and repair of onboard avionics systems. When I was stationed at Hill AFB in Utah we used to get regular "air shows" as the USAF demonstrated the F-16 to potential foreign miliary customers. I'm still amazed at what that aircraft can do!

Now I work at LM where F-16 production is tapering off. It's a hell of an airplane and turned out to be much more lucrative for General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin than ever would have been imagined when it was still on the drawing board.

Thanks Elsa!. . . this was taken just outside Lockheed-Martin's main gate. Just west of the runway at NAS Fort Worth.

Thanks Steve. . . I think you would have to put the F-16 in the top 5 of fighter aircraft ever to be built. Of course, being from Fort Worth I am slightly partial.

I like this photo; it's even got the Burnett Plaza Building in the background -- definitely Fort Worth. Some nice afternoon, you need to let some of us join you out there, and you can give us tips on how to catch these fast, metal birds of your's.
