Dr. Pepper Building - 04-01-2006, 07:47 PM

I was going through some old backup CD's and found this image of the old Dr. Pepper Building. For those who don't know, it was on the northeast corner of Mockingbird and Greenville. I shot it on Pan-X (I think - I'll have to find the filmstrip to find out for sure) and did a little colorizing just for fun.

I remember that building very well. I lived in University Park and worked at SMU in the 1970's; I went past that property many times a week. Thanks for the memories.

Yep! Very sad when they took it down! I guess EVERY building can't be classed as Historic!

Thanks, guys! I wish the developers would have saved it, too. Oh yeah, it was on the northWEST corner of Mockingbird and Greenville (I really do know directions.....I think )

Kroger is there now.
Interesting Fact-The previous Dr Pepper Building in Dallas still stands over on 2nd ave in the Deep Ellum Area. ( it is currently setting empty) That buiding started out as a bottling plant for Dr Pepper back in the 20's (?) and went through a couple expansions before they moved to the Mockingbird location in the late 40's.
