DFW Open Shoot in Irving

If interested in an open shoot in late April-beginning of May there's a yahoo group started to organize one at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dfwopenshoots/ Some of the work displayed in the photos section of the group are a bit questionnable as far as how legitamate some of the 'photographers' are. Some of the 'models' are far from being even TFP quality models. It very well may be a waste of your time, but there will be a few worth shooting if it all comes together. I honestly hope that it does all come together, because I would like to have a DFW open shoot group.

Now this is either weird or childish inpart of the owners of the yahoo group doing this.
I joined the group a couple days ago and just noticed this morning that The Fry Street Fair in Denton is going on the same day-some people like to shoot that because of the varied people and musical acts there and then I tried to go back to the group this afternoon and I had been booted from the group.

I still plan to attend the shoot in Irving in a couple weeks but to boot someone for posting that something else is going on that same day is a bit childish.

The moderator of the group kinda snapped at me when I posted asking for more models to respond if interested. I thought it was a waste of time for photographers because there were only 3 models signed up & 11 photographers. She got a little irritated that I said something. When I explained myself and encouraged her she actually appologized. I hope it all comes together, but even if it does, I have my doubts about the successfulness of it. If it's not on the same day as the lighting workshop I do plan to attend. I live here in Las Colinas, so it's a close drive for me.

When is Fry St. fair this year? I know it's normally towards the end of April.
