Bridal Session Location with big columns? - 04-11-2006, 01:10 PM

I've got a bride who we're doing a session for and we're going to do a bit at the arboretum and then she wants something with big columns? She hails from A&M and said that she loved the big campus buildings with the huge columns in front.

Anything, anywhere, similiar to this? I was thinking maybe somewhere by Baylor downtown but not sure.

If you have a location, please provide specfiics or sample shots. I'll do a drive by later this week.

Thanks!
Adam

University campuses are probably your best idea. SMU seems to have some good locations based on pictures on their web site

Not many big Round Column buildings in Dallas, SMU Administration Building is one-the one with the dome on top. I can't really think of anything around Baylor Hospital to speak of.

Is that the one on Dyer st? I was just looking at the campus map. Any idea if special permission is required to shoot there or just show up and go at it?

Anyone else? Perhaps even smaller, gazebo's with columns etc. I think she's open to try different things, but I'll definately go by the SMU building to see the lay of the land.

Hope its not crowded this Saturday so we could shoot in front of it without 50 people in the shot.

Thanks

I have seen some photos of other brides shot locally that had the sequence of columns. I want to say that they were shot at a church or something like that. I have also seen an ad on I-30 for www.mansionwedding.com. Supposed to be an antebellum type mansion but I havent been to the site or anything. just some information.
