Favorite Bridal Locations? - 04-12-2006, 09:47 PM

My bride is nervous about shooting her bridals at the arboertum on Saturday and I guess I dont blame her, its going to be super crowded because of Easter weekend.

So my question is..what are your favorite outdoor locations/parks to shoot? The Mother of the Bride said he friend had them done at a park of Preston and Douglas or somewhere?

I need ideas... If you have a link or pictures that would help too....

thank you
adam

Trinity Park, with downtown in the background... not that I've shot there, but I want to :)

I did bridals this last sunday and it got pretty crowded around 11 or so. We were there at 9 when it opened and there was still quite a few people there. it was beautiful though.

Sorry can't be of anymore help. I am having trouble with locations too.

My personal favor is Turtle Creek at Highland Park, and SMU.

I found some photo's of a park called Flippen Park which is just west of the SMU campus and I'm going to drive by it today, it looks very nice. She also wants to take pictures by the Highland Park United Methodist Church at SMU so we'll go by there also. (Anyone know if you need special permission to shoot outside there?)

thanks

Ill have to ask photosteve but he says there is a REALLY nice Park in Frisco that would be GREAT for traditional Engagement and Bridal portraits.

I drove by Flippen park and it was beautiful. Couple of nice gazebo's, a nice reflection pool, and just down from SMU. I'm feeling more comfortable now.

Brad -- Where is trinity park? Do you have a link to any type of web page with pictures of it?

I'm still open to ideas..We're beginning the shoot at 1 and plan to wrap at 5. With just the church, park, and maybe SMU Admin building I could fit in another location.

Not in Dallas, but Ft Worth Botanivcal Gardens, Japanese Garden in Ft Worth, There is also a park across the street from the Ft Worth Zoo that is REALLY nice, the Southlake Botanical Gardens (I think or is it Grapevine?) Is another nice one. SMU District is VERY nice too. There is a nice Bldg in Downtown Dallas, Called Fountain Plaza that is nice for engagement as well as bridals.
