When I get my corporate stuff done, I go there. My friend, whose also into photography also highly recommends them.

I think they are good at what they do.

But their employees are not the friendliest people. Either that, or I dont do enough stuff there for them to know me. But still not rude, just no conversation.

Their stuff are sent to their downtown store.... the major jobs are.

Yes, I've used them, but I dont like them. They are supposed to be professional and yet they printed two negatives, that were side by side in the film strip, one was printed backwards and even though they were exposed the same, they printed one negative correct and the other negative underexposed. They also never have your stuff ready when it's supposed to be ready. Used to use them a lot, but I prefer the Color Place for color stuff down in the warehouse area and for black and white, I LOVE The Mark in the warehouse area (both are near Competitive Camera and LightTec).

Thanks ... a co-worker is thinking of having some prints made from a recent Gorilla safari in Africa .... I'll pass along the words of caution to her. I've seen the Color Place, but haven't ever used their service either.

Thanks.

I have used Color place too. For my work, they are for the most part, very similar quality to BWC.

You could be totaly right about the color place. I've only used them once, unlike BWC which I had to use many times. There is another place near competitive that starts with an "R", but I dont remember the name. It looks like they do good work, and they've been offering metallic printing for quite some time with beautiful results.

I've had issues with BWC as well. About 8 months ago I took some infrafred film in for developing, only to have thte negatives splattered with a some chemical, resulting in missing information on the negative. I've also had issues with some digital prints but that could also be user error on my part.
I've never heard of The Mark or Color Place, could you tell me where they are located? Address, phone, etc.

I've had trouble with the downtown store. They totally messed up an order of mine that I needed to meet a deadline. They left me on hold for 20 mins while the manager made time for me. The problem was solved by a simple emailed file, but apparently the help couldn't help me.

I have yet to get an order at the time they've promised it.

However. They quality has been very good. And better than MPix.
