Quick help needed about Waxahachie!! - 04-17-2006, 10:57 PM

I have a photoshoot this Wednesday and I have one location (tentative) that has a pretty decent barn to use. The second location I'm not sure about because it's an old railstation just on the outskirts of downtown. My question is, does anyone know of any good locations for photoshoots that would involve swimsuits and a muscle car? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Here are a couple of my favorite places.

Getzendaner park, lots of shade with an old building, Chautauqua Auditorium. It is on the west end of town south of Baylor Hospital. Also, just north of downtown is George Brown Park, lots of shade and creek.

Thanks! Now my next question is this... this will be during school hours so kiddos should be in school. What kinda problem would it be to have a swimsuit shoot at these locations? I did see Chautauqua auditorium I think... was it right next to a park? Was that Getzendaner?

Thanks again!!

I live in Ennis and grew up in Waxahachie. Never done a swimsuit shoot there though...

I'd shoot quick and be prepared for a police officer to question you...small town, ya know? Dont worry or anything, but thats what >I< would expect.

The Chautauqua is in Getzedaner park. This park is large so there are many places to explore especially near the creek. The park is secluded from any schools, unless they built one I don't know about. Now Brown park is just off the square and across from the police station, but there is not much activity in the downtown area during the week, some at the bank and county buildings.

Although not living there now, my dad does, Waxahachie is not the same small town it was several years ago when I was raised there. There have been many movies shot in the town. I don't think you would have any abnormal attention.

Thanks to all for the advice and suggestions! I did go to the old rail station in downtown and shot there. No problems other than the occassional guy driving by almost wrecking and a holler out the window as they pass by. I'll post a couple pictures when I get them ready.

Thanks again!

Looking forward to your posts. I love those old depots, I wish they would be restored.
