He may be referring to the Fort Worth Nature Center which is to the northwest of Fort Worth beyond Lake Worth a little ways. Here's a link:

I was out there about 8 years ago sans camera. It's fairly rugged-lots of ups and downs as I recall. Been meaning to go back with camera.

Been there recently - 04-05-2005, 11:19 PM

You start by stopping by the Buffalo herd. ( not much of a HERD, but they are willing subjects. Then go to the visitors center and take a shot of the Owls. From the visitors center they can direct you to the areas you think would be good to shoot. Definitely worth the trip if the light is right.

FW Nature Center is very nice.

The water lilies should be blooming soon and are good for photos from the boardwalk.

Buffalo Boogie is a really fun time at the Nature Center.

I have volunteered as photographer the last 2 years, and could use some help covering the races, etc. this year. One person can't be everywhere.

If you are free May 7th, either just attend with your camera, or volunteer.

I gave them many shots, but they don't do a lot with the web-site. Maybe they will expand and update the gallery this year.

You get a t-shirt if you volunteer.

A couple of shots I made there last year.
