Dallas Zoo Photo Safari with Cathy, the zoo photographer - 05-21-2006, 11:40 PM

I went out Sat and shot a few pics with Cathy, who was delightful and very good to work with, she coordinated feedings with the handlers so we could get better shots.

Let me know your thoughts :)

I went to the Dallas Zoo last week, and just found out about the Photo Safari. Haven't done it yet, but I left a message for Cathy today to see when I can sign up for the Photo Safari.

Very nice pictures, by the way. I love the expressions on the last two pictures.

Don't know if it's been mentioned before, but there is also a Dallas Zoo Photography Contest called Feathers, Fur & Scales. It's $15 per entry and all entries must be in by September 29, 2006

Which one of those photos is of Cathy?

I think #5 is flirting with you... you must have a D2X!

Paul,

Me too (at the moment). And from the looks of the Bokeh in your images, they were taken with the 70-200VR in your lens harem.

I absolutely love the 70 - 200 it is my favorite lens relitively light, fast and VR with great sharpness and bokeh...

I have a new toy that I shot with...a 300 2.8 AFS which is a lot harder to shot with and get the right DOF and sharpness...but I'm learning...
