Do we have any suggestions for locations for this weeks GTG?
Gators in Euless?
Spring Creek in Irving or HEB?
Crystals Pizza in Irving?
I know there are many more locations but I'm not really familiar with all the hang outs in the Mid-Cities area (I'm including Irving since that is more central, I think)

Places that stay open late are good, some people can only come later, after 8-9. The Saltgrass on Lamar at Ballpark Way was good and there are several other places near it. Fox and Hounds are OK, too, with multiple locations. Firewater at 35 and NW Hwy was good and several other restaurants around it.

I'm good with Saltgrass. I wasn't able to go to the last one you all had there after the Lone Star races, but wouldn't mind going if others don't mind going again. Any other suggestions or oppositions to Saltgrass?

I agree, Norm, but that is what Appetizers are for!!... if those aren't too expensive... been years since I have been there.
What kind of prices are at the Fox and Hound on Green Oaks BLVD? Should we shoot for that place??

Spring Creek is a bar-b-que place and is pretty good, IMO. I would suggest going to Shady Oak next to the Ballpark because it is a full restaurant. Spring Creek is a restaurant but you stand in line to get your food.
Both owned by the same company and both have great food. Rangers play on Thursday night but I don't think traffic will be too bad... Take Nolan Ryan expressway off of I30East and it's right across the light.
edited to add link and info http://www.shadyoakbarbeque.com/arlington.htm
Shady Oak does close at 10pm
Spring Creek closes at 9pm so I won't include the link... I thought they were open later... thought they both were.

wow, thats really early and spring creek is a chain, not really a hangout kinda place, but i could be wrong. thats a long drive for me to come for like an hour or so. by the time i get there its almost 8, then they close at 9. i might just not do this week. im sure you guys will have just as much fun w/o me...lol!

Leslie, I think it would be Shady Oak, not Spring Creek. It is a restaurant and not so much a hangout, but it is a laidback atmosphere and *I* think it is conducive for hanging out. They close at 10pm so that would be an extra hour we would be able to enjoy your company!
