Does FTW Camera or Arlington Camera clean it on site (it's more than dust I'm sure)....

if not....does anybody have the stuff to clean the D1H. (power adapter needed).

I'd like to clean them before heading to California on vacation next week...and don't have much time to do so.

When are you coming down this way? I don't know about FTW or AC but cleaning your sensor should be no problem. If the D1h has a bulb mode you should be all set. Only takes a few seconds. I had some gunk on my 2x sensor when I was shooting, so horrible I could see it on the lcd. Anyway, a quick trip to the truck, set 30 seconds on the shutter speed, wha-la! Done....

Pete..I'll be down on Monday and Tuesday.

The D1H manual says to not do it that way...there's a sensor cleaning mode that locks up the mirror while not running power through the sensor keeping it charged.

I had my 20D cleaned at Competitive Camera in Dallas last week where I bought it. They did it overnight. Cleaning the sensor made a big difference as all of a sudden I had built up a lot of junk on the sensor.

Nothing really.

But when you're a professional photographer you don't want to have dirty pictures that you have to spend time cleaning up in P/S
