Those sure are nice going away photos. I got some of the mig on the ground and I was kicking myself the whole time I was there because the longest lens I brought with me was my 28-75mm. I figured you would come up with something though and I'm glad to get to see it. I also wondered about the age. Do you think that's one we captured?

I'm going to go out on a limb here (I've been wrong before) and say that is a Chinese made JJ-5 (the exported version was called FT-5). It is a two seat version of the MIG-17. They were still being produced up up until the mid 80's (I think). I don't think the Russians ever made a two seat version of the MIG-17, though they did make a two seat version of the MIG-15.

You are referring to the pilot's age I assume, because that would make the MIG's manufacture date in the 1920's.

I looked for it Sunday Morning when I was there, but it was not in the display area. I would have liked to have seen it.

Yeah...If the plane was 80 years old, lindberg could have had a Blast!
