I am the president of the Lockheed Martin Camera Club and we just got the same privileges as extended to the Ft. Worth Camera Club. I do know that the Ft. Worth Camera Club does have some information on their website as to rules for shooting at the Botanical Gardens. We have to comply with these also. Basically they stipulate that images must be turned in and accepted by the Ft. Worth Botanical Society for use in their publications or the pass given to the photographer will not be renewed for the following year.
I was under a misconception at first that the Botanical Gardens are paid for by taxpayer dollars. This is not the case as it is totally funded by the Ft. Worth Botanical Society and the funds donated or raised by them. This is the reason behind the fees charged to professional photographers. With the above stated passes, we are able to take a tripod into the Gardens for photographing without paying the required fees.
If you are interested in joining the Lockheed Martin Camera Club please PM me and we can discuss further. |
