Anybody want to do a Downtown Dallas Shoot on Sunday 6-25-06?(date changed from 18th)

That is a Sunday. If you have not been downtown recently there are several new buildings under construction and really if you walk around and really look at the architecture there are all sorts of details to pick up on.

Thinking of maybe meeting at City Hall, free parking on Sunday, this would allow you to walk into most of downtown and not have to walk more than a few blocks. The City Hall Location will also have you conveniant to the Farmers Market, the Convention Center, the Cemetary outside of the Convention Center and quite a few other locations.

If people are interested we can come up with a time to meet and maybe a location to eat that way others that may want to join in later can come out. Maybe end up the shoot with some Sunset shots of Downtown taken from the Methodist Hospital Garage location in Oak Cliff.

Yeah it is Summer then and it could be warm/hot but just be sure to bring along H2O.

I was thinking late morning/early afternoon on. Some of the details on the buildings only get decent light on them around noon, kinda like shooting deep inside a canyon. That way it still shouldn't be too hot on the streets and if some people have services in the morning they can still make them.

Once we get closer to the date the folks interested can maybe post a meetup start time at City Hall and then come up with a walking itinerary as to where we go from there.

Never been on an organized shoot before, but it sounds interesting. I have done a bunch of stuff downtown on my own and got some great shots. I may be free but there is a possibility that I will have a rehearsal that day for "Turtles and Tuna". I will keep my eye on the thread.

That's father's day. I'd like to do something like that, but it'll depend on the time.

Didn't even think about it being Fathers Day, maybe we will need to move it to the next weekend.

Went by the area that is painted up by Deep Sushi on Elm, the parking lot where there is usually some decent tagger work, and it has all been painted over! (doesn't mean that it won't get tagged before then.)
I shot the Good Lattimer Tunnel back at the end of May and am posting up the pics as I clean them up -many have extranious graffiti that I am having to remove.

Also heard that the West End Market Place will be shutting it's doors in either the next few weeks or months, news reports differ, since they are not getting the traffic flow nor the tenents in the place like they wished. Heard also that Dicks Last Resort will be moving!

We have more than a week to discuss about this. I just think that if we wait until July/August it will just be too hot this summer to draw a good crowd.

The next weekend would be better for me. My birthday is on the 17th, my anniversary and Father's day is on the 18th. I'm a bit booked.

But I'd be in for the next weekend.

The 25th looks spotty for me, unfortunately. I have friends in town that weekend, and a kid's birthday party.

Anybody up for the next weekend? I don't want to push it back just for me, but I'd love to do this.
