I purposely didn't go down there because in year's past, the crowds just seemed overwhelming, and there was little room to step back and get a good perpective on any shot.

I was wrong :( ; your photos demonstrate that conclusively. Thanks for posting these. I really like the first one. I hope others add to this thread, so I can feel even more regret :oops:
