You can pick up a map at the downtown festival center. I think I'll be there Sunday.

thanks
Jeff

Thanks, Jeff, for the notice. Let's hope we get a sky like today but with far less wind.

Hello All!

I agree about the Festival. It was very enjoyable last year. If anything, just watching all the folks trying to find the "perfect" spot to take photos was amusing in itself. :D

I know the Bluebonnets are out in my area, Kemp - 45 minutes Southeast of downtown Dallas on highway 175, which is only 30 minutes North of Ennis.

Hope everyone finds the spot they are looking for!

So what do they do, give you a map of were they are and so go find them or what.
I have been to all kinds of Festivals, but never to the bluebonnet one.

The downtown has a small festival with booths and some local entertainment. The map they hand out has several trails marked on it. About ten miles overall, primarily countryside. (The website has a copy of the map if you want to pre-print it.) The driver gets to pick and choose which trails to follow. A majority of the routes do have signs up to help guide the way.

I'm working that day so I won't be down this year.

Have fun!

I just got back from the Bluebonnet festival and it was a lovely day. I had fun taking pictures and watching my friend dodge the bees :D

It was the nicest day I have had in a long time.

P. S. If any one from the Dallas/Fort Worth is going out for a photo shoot somewhere, please let me know and I'd like to meet you there. I am new in photography and would appreciate any pointers I could get. Just email me at ellen@ellenprater.com

Thanks!!!

Ellen,

Glad to hear you had a good time; I'm sure other forum members were there but we only know one another mostly through typing so far. I had another thought which might interest you: camera clubs. Some members of the Forum visit these on a regular basis. The Club offers a set agenda with a ready-made group. Here's two that have been mentioned here:

Hope Camera Club

Heard Photo Club

P.S. Start posting some of your favorite pics onto this Forum.
