Fireworks - 06-29-2006, 09:56 PM

I'm sure there is already a thread like this but I haven't found it yet. With July 4th coming around, I'm hoping to get my first good shot of fireworks. Would anybody be willing to share their best settings for it?

Thanks!!

You will need a sturdy tripod and cable release. Here are the settings I used at the Allen 4th of July Celebration last weekend:
iso 100
f/11-16
bulb/3-10s
MLU
RAW
24-70L (mostly 24-35)

Importantly, setup early and check your settings, focus, and exposure before and during the shoot. Bring a flashlight. Once you are setup, you can ease back in your chair, have a cool one, and enjoy the fireworks show as you click away.

Here are a few from my shoot: http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=25394
