Good Photo Op

The City of Celina is having a Balloon festival this weekend. The DMN had an article in the paper about it today and it looks like a good chance to take some pictures.

Tonight the balloons lift off at 6pm, they are having a "balloon glow" at 8:30pm, and it ends with fireworks at 9:45pm.

Just thought I'd share the info.

So I drag my two girls out there thinking I might sneak a couple of pics in and wouldn't you know...the balloons canceled the "glow" because of the wind.

Since it was late, we left and I am glad we did because it rained on the way home. That what have been a note...the "glow" canceled and then get rained on while waiting for fireworks. I would have won the "bad dad" award.

I did get a couple of pictures of the weather headed in...better than nothing...I guess!
