From Jake's handy spot north of downtown FW.

Shot RAW and quickly converted....(I haven't looked through all of them to see if there was anything better, but this one I liked)

Great shot!
It's not really my spot That spot was shown to me by the great TPF'er Jerry.

I agree, very nice FW shot, and thanks Jake.

Craig and I spent about 2 or 3 weekends scouting out that location, so he deserves credit. You don't have a goofy looking shot of him to add do you? (that should be easy!)

The location was freaking brilliant.

I would have loved to get the perfect spot probably about 300 yards further down the levee....but the waist-high grass and thick trees at night kept me in check.

That...and as the Star-Telegram freelancer (who happened to just get lucky on the location he says)....put it.

"We're probably closer to a dead body in the trees than a wireless internet connection to transmit from."

I stayed on the nice, mowed levee.

Well, last year the Star-Telegram ran a shot from that same location on their front page so I think someone up there probably pointed him in the right direction

Jason,

Last year the Cats shot fireworks 3 nights in a row, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. We tried different spots all 3 nights. The first night we were much closer, and it didn't work, so I think you found the sweet spot. Hope you have some more to post.

Hehe, y'all are sneaky. I remember the last one there...... the honker shot.

Nice shot JP. How did you manage to talk Jake out of giving up the location?
