Las Colinas: Mandalay Canal - 07-07-2006, 12:55 PM

Las Colinas is fast becoming one of my favorite spots for portraits. Does anyone have pictures to share from their outing in Las Colinas? I believe that you can probably shoot successfully at almost any time of the day except high noon.

thanks for the reminder, last time I was out there, it was deserted. It's a shame that the canal never took off. It is pretty well done, IMHO.

for fun, find the "echo spot" my kids did and showed it to me. it is an amazing audio experience all within about 6 inches.

I was out there on a Sunday and it is still deserted. Used to work in the area and at that time there was a lot more business on the canal. Sallee Photography (www.salleephotography.com) bought one of the buildings out there and will be moving their studio. He has some very nice location shots.

Las Colinas - 07-08-2006, 07:54 PM

I really enjoy photographing architecture, and I think Las Colinas has some of the finest in the metroplex! Here is a recent shot rendered in High Dynamic Range.
