If this does get put off until sometime when its cooler then I would definitely be up for making the trip. I'm from Dallas and I really regret missing out on a few things there :( Like weird swamps with gators...

Alligators and snakes aren't the only problem....watch out for mosquitoes and the West Nile Virus!!

Don't forget the bug repellant.

Is the main goal of this junket to get some shots of gators?

This was planned to be more of a discovery type shoot and investigation of the plant and animal life down along the Trinity that 99% of people have no idea that it even exists.

Still looking at maybe doing this in late Sept once the heat breaks but really need to find out exactly where this is at- looks to be maybe a few dozen acres in size in what is possibley a rather large area of potentiality.

So if anyone comes across with info as to how to exactly get to the place without a miles long hike with TRINITY RIVER water up to our chests we can still try to do this.

Would be cool if by some trick of the camera we could get palm trees with the Dallas Skyline behind them in a shot.
