Looking for Prop rental in Dallas - 08-02-2006, 11:53 AM

I have a business partner that has been "retained" to shoot a HS drill team. He has come to me for some help, since he is really more of a graphic designer than photographer. I told him I could help him with lighting and shooting it.

Well, the shoot is 8/19, and I just got some scans of last year's stuff (See below--please excuse the craptastic scan.) The individual shots are posed with props like ladders and stars. I was wondering if anyone knew where in Dallas you can rent props such as the one shown here?

If anyone has a suggestion, it would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Other than that the simple way out is many HS Drill Teams have those props on hand either they have them on their own or the Drama Department might for musicals and the like. Why pay for something you may be able to get for free?

I have a star like that, but I won't rent it to you. I will let you borrow it if you will bring it back with a new coat of white paint. It is made of plywood and will support even a rotund cheerleader. I also have three ft. and five foot ladders. Same deal Borrow them use them paint them and bring them back. I'm in Denton on the highway to Decatur. I probably have some other thing you might need. PM me.

That's very generous! Let me talk to my partner and see if he'd be able to pick it up.

I appreciate the offer, and will PM you as soon as I hear back from him.

Thanks again,

Tom
