Family Photoshoot this weekend *need location* - 08-09-2006, 01:19 PM

Hi All!

Yep I have a family photoshoot booked this weekend and I'm looking for new locations.

I did a search before and didn't really see anything so I thought I would post.

I love that waterfall creek area in Richardson but it was dry rocks a few weeks ago when I checked it out before.

I am looking for something in Collin County. Somthing that is a nice outdoor place like parks, water fountain, a cool bridge. I did go to some of the cities websites but if they had pictures they were small and I couldn't really tell much about it. I'd rather see one of yall's pictures!

If anyone has suggestions please let me know.

Very nice pictures! Yeah that is an idea. She did mentioned that at first but then asked if I had any other locations that were closer.

I have had several photoshoots there, it's nice but the crowds seem to get in the way.

Thank you so much for sharing your pictures.. they are beautiful!!

Wow I just looked at the image zoomed in on google the picture was taken when the bridge was still in use a few years ago. They have built a new bridge that is 2 lane and this one is off to the side now.

I know of a fantastic place. Thing is... not sure what road it's on :( PM me and I'll describe how to get there in layman's terms. It's basically in Garland, very secluded, hiking trail, not many people go there, etc - it's a wildlife refuge with a creek in the woods, bridge etc. here's a shot:

Is it the Duck Creek trails? I've been there several times.
But that would be farther for the client.

Thank you!
And you're right not many people go there.

If you want to drive to Plano -

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve - Tollway and Parker (on parker about 2 miles west of the Tollway). Lots of great places to shoot.

Yes, we've done probably half a dozen shoots there and is a popular engagement location. It's a pretty big place and there are so many places that you can take shots that all look different. Watch out for crowds on weekends though...and for the occassional wildlife. On one of my shoots, I saw a pretty good sized mountain lion.

I would recommend the area near the main pavilion and then the area near the first bridge (and even the creek under it).

A mountain lion? Maybe an overfed West Plano kitty.
