Arrow Dallas Rally/Protest Friday - 08-09-2006, 02:07 PM

Below is the flyer that I got in a press release from the Dallas Islamic group about a protest/rally in Downtown Dallas on Friday. This will be a good chance for anyone who wants to get there feet wet in PJ and a good chance to get some pictures of muslims praying since they will have there friday prayers down there before the protest. My contacts are saying they expect about 500 to 1000 people.

I have noticed some of the stock photo agency's have been asking/requesting muslim pictures over the past few months. This would be a good chance to get some for your own archives. This is just an FYI.

Dave

I made a phony photo badge for this event. My thinking was that the Muslums might not be apprehensive with me having it however I wonder if the cops would hammer me over it. I put my real name and picture and member of TPF and Flickr, Oak cliff represenative.
Am I being stupid?

Hank,

IMO, do what you have to. I have several real passes... I just bring them all, you never know which one will work best.

It was nice meeting you. The only reason Dept of Homeland Security was there becuase of the nature of the protest and the type people that was there.
