River Legacy Park - 08-09-2006, 10:51 PM

Went out to River Legacy Park looking for armadillos to shoot (photograph). No conveniently located armadillos to be found this time, maybe next time. It is a nice park though, see pictures below.

Nice capture of the greenness of the area. I live about 10 minutes from there so I've done my share of shooting. If you go early morning or evening, you might get a shot of one of the local bobcats. I've yet to manage it, but people have always pointed me in that direction on my visits. Also, the birding is quite good there too.

Green Oaks crosses Collins in 2 places. I'm guessing that you're talking about NORTH Collins instead of where it crosses south of 20.

Those shots are great, but I can't help but look at that river and think, "Yuck".

Yeah, the algae is doing well this year, isn't it? C'est la vie.

Specifically, the park is here. The entrace off Green Oaks was not completely obvious, at least not to me. I'll go back soon early morning, or maybe evening again to find the bobcat.
